Exactly one year ago we were reporting that the first house had been completed by construction firm Lovell Partnerships Ltd; this is the house at the top of Magson Close Marked by the street name plate of Blake Close. Today all of the new houses are occupied with families, and new residents are moving into the new apartment blocks in Dennett Close & Magson Close.
The top video shows how our estate looked on 15th October 2011, while the bottom one shows how the Stonebridge Park Estate looks today. The recent video also shows the external improvement works being put in place by WATES, which are the new perimeter iron railings and wooden fences.
The weather on both occasions was remarkably similar, the trees were beginning to change colour and leafs were falling to the ground.
There is more work to do with the roads and pavements in the construction areas, while new street lighting is still being installed, and connected to the electricity supply. The first phase of our £11m Regeneration Scheme is nearing completion which should be on the 17th December, the anniversary of the turf cutting ceremony which took place in 2010
