Thank you for your comment today, and your kind words about our website.

You are quite right, every crime is different with quite different circumstances and events. However, the crime maps published each month only record the ‘type’ of crime which has taken place around our estate, and not the circumstances.

While PC Dean has had a poke at our website to make his point, I think in reality he has concerns about the way the Police crime maps & figures are being presented on the POLICE.uk website.

I don’t think its a case of manipulating the crime figures.

We will continue to accurately reproduce the maps and crime figures relating to our Stonebridge Park Estate, because they are very informative to local residents living on our estate today

  1. Hi I think your web site is brilliant and I look at it nearly every day, keep up all the good work you guys. I don’t think you should be put off by the police manipulating their crime figures to make it look like crime has gone down in St Anns when we all know it hasn’t.

I was at the last public meeting when the police man told us the crime figures were wrong.
PC Paul Dean told us that the crime figures painted an inaccurate picture of the true level of crime around Stonebridge, because when residents see ASB marked on their street, straight away they think of a group of teens frightening local people, when it might just be a youth sitting in a car playing load music.

What nonsense, you don’t have the same youth sitting in the car on the same street for nine months of the year playing loud music. And just because the police stop someone and seize a small amount of drugs on one day in January, it does not mean every drugs incident is the same. PC Dean does not know what he is talking about; it’s just his way of massaging the crime figures on his patch to make them look good.
