Mr McDevitt, 42, was last seen in St Ann’s on Tuesday 21 August and reported missing two days later.
A member of public found the body of a man in woodland off The Crescent shortly before 9am today (Thursday 4 October) and alerted police. It is believed to be that of Mr McDevitt but formal identification is still yet to take place. A Home Office post-mortem examination is also due to be carried out this afternoon.
