Dennet Close flats were built by Wimpys in 1976, and consist of two rows one above the other with an interlocking footpath between, a continuation from the Flewitt Gardens footpath nearby. Iron railings surrounding the front green of the bottom row of flats were added later. The photographs shown here were taken in 2003 prior to the formation of Stonebridge Park Tenants & Residents Association which had Mrs Maureen Graham as Chair lady. The first ground floor flat in the bottom row, opposite Mrs Graham’s own home, was transformed into their office and walk in centre. Meetings of the Stonebridge Park Regeneration Steering group were held here from 2006.
